The Telecommunications Company of Cuba s.a. (Etecsa) extended until September 30 the measures implemented since the beginning of the pandemic to provide services to the population.
Elisa Alfaro Díaz, Communication specialist of the institution, explained that this modality includes the payment of the telephone bill, both residential and corporate, the switched internet access services and the monthly fee for the Nauta Hogar service and alternative landlines.
Likewise, the life cycle of mobile lines is extended, which expire from the 1st. September, and the 10% discount on payments for telecommunications services through the Transfermóvil application.
Alfaro Díaz commented that the differentiated appraisal in the mobile network of voice and data services is maintained in the hours that include from 1:00 a.m. until 6:00 a.m., and the rate at 0.30 cuc per hour of international navigation, through the accounts associated with Nauta Hogar, once the hours of the contracted monthly package have been consumed.
The ten additional hours to the Nauta Hogar prepaid and postpaid services continue, the discount to 50% of the rates of the national long distance calls during daytime hours, and of 25% of the rates of the calls made with their own cards in night hours.
Free access is maintained to the cubaeduca.cu portal, to the sites of the ministries of Education and Higher Education, that of the Computer and Audiovisual Media Company, that of Minsap, of the EnZona platform, as well as the virtual researcher of COVID-19.
In the same way, calls to 800salud - dial 72583 - will be kept free, a number authorized by the Ministry of Health to assist the population.
Regarding the hours established for the operation of the commercial network, Alfaro Díaz specified that in the capital they are stipulated from 9:00 a.m. at 2:00 p.m., and until 4:00 p.m. in the rest of the country, although they may undergo changes depending on the guidance of the provincial defense councils.
Etecsa reported affectations in 4g navigation, a situation that occurred with all numbers except 53 and 54, so it was working on a solution.
