The National Civil Defense Staff insists, to those responsible for state entities and to the Cuban population in general, not to neglect the adoption of measures that, predictably, contribute to reducing the risks of the danger of cyclones.

In accordance with the forecasts, widely reported, on the active behavior that the current cyclonic season has and that will maintain until the end of the period (from June 1 to November 30), the National Civil Defense Staff insists, to those responsible for state entities and the Cuban population in general, in not neglecting the adoption of measures that, foreseen, contribute to reducing the risks in the face of the danger of cyclones.
In this sense, it aims to maintain constant attention to the indications of the authorities and to the information of the meteorological, hydrological and epidemiological services; meanwhile it orders the Cuban family to have a group of guarantees that are taxed for the protection of its members and their property.
SOME PRELIMINARY MEASURES
Check the state of food and ensure its conservation, preferably by traditional methods.
Have a tank for water, light food, candles, matches, chlorine or hypochlorite tablets, first aid kit and medicines for metabolic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes, among others.
If the home is used to protect other people, guarantee the conditions that allow distance and hygiene in the face of the risk of COVID-19.
Advance the cleaning of roofs and unobstruction of sections of ditches, sewers and drains, and support the pruning of trees.
If your home is not safe, know where you will evacuate.
Increase autofocal, and remove objects from patios and roofs that can be projected by strong winds.
Safeguard personal documents, such as property titles, identity cards, supply book, certificates and medical records.
